EMERGE is Cardinal Health’s early career, rotational development program designed to accelerate the path to leadership and develop well-rounded utility players within a functional discipline. The program is geared towards recent college graduates interested in the healthcare industry that are searching for a challenging, rewarding career, in a fast-paced environment. The goal of the EMERGE program is to create a bench of future leaders to support the long-term talent strategy and direction of Cardinal Health.
EMERGE Program
Experience
Participants will experience a high degree of responsibility and accountability.? They are expected to bring value to the function, enhance and improve their rotation, and achieve management business objectives. In addition to engaging in rotations that offer broad professional experiences, participants will also build leadership skills through workshops and technical training. The goal of the program is to provide participants with the skills and background needed to become a future leader within their function.
While in the program, participants will:
- Gain exposure to Cardinal Health executives
- Develop and apply business skills
- Experience broad and diverse rotations
- Receive ongoing training and development
- Build relationships through networking
- Accelerate their professional development
- Enhance productivity through process improvement
- Develop a solid peer group

Locations
Who should apply?
Cardinal Health primarily recruits current, full-time students who are typically in their senior year and on track to graduate in winter or spring, who are interested in joining a three-year rotational program and meet the following criteria:
- Progression toward a bachelor’s degree in a related field to the EMERGE Program
- Recommended GPA of 3.0 or above on 4.0 scale
- Previous internship experience, preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Participation in extracurricular activities and/or community service
- Available to relocate throughout the course of the program
- Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States?with no requirement for future sponsorship
